This December 7th, we’ll be hosting our annual Gripstone Member Appreciation Day. We’ll have some great sales running throughout the day along with a roped climbing competition, podium announcements, member vendors, and raffle prizes. Roped Climbing Competition
From 2–5pm, we’ll be hosting a free, members-only roped climbing competition. Competitors will register in gender and skill-based categories, with Recreational (5.6-5.9), Intermediate (5.10-5.11), and Advanced (5.11+). The comp will feature nine routes that increase in difficulty, with points awarded based on each route’s grade. Climbers will have the full three hours to attempt the routes as many times as they’d like, and their final score will be determined by their top three completed routes. All competitors will receive a raffle ticket just for signing up. Podium finishers will earn additional tickets based on their placement within their division, giving them even more chances to take home a prize.
