THE SUMMER BLOC PARTY
We are bringing back the Summer Bloc Party on June 27th, and this is one event you will not want to miss! Join us for a full day of climbing, food, drinks, games, and good vibes as we celebrate YOU, our members, and the incredible community here at Gripstone. This has become one of our favorite events every year, packed with tons of boulders, the Power Series Finals, ping pong, raffle prizes, and plenty of food and drinks, all on the house!
To make the day even more special, the gym will be closed to the public so members will have the entire facility to themselves. We also have some awesome prizes lined up for competitors and raffle winners throughout the day. Best of all, the event is completely FREE, so what do you have to lose?
Below is the schedule of events.
10am: Vendor Booth Set Up
Members and some brands will be setting up booths for you to check out! If you are interested in becoming a member vendor, please reach out to cole@gripstonecs.com to inquire.
11am – 2pm: Traditional Redpoint Style Bouldering Competition
This competition will have 21 boulders ranging from V0 to V9. ANY Current Gripstone Member is welcome to participate. Categories will be divided between Male (Recreational, Intermediate, and Advanced) and Female (Recreational, Intermediate, and Advanced). Climbers will have two hours to climb the hardest boulders for their ability. Podium takers in each category will receive prizes and extra raffle tickets. Again, Registration is FREE so don’t miss out!
Categories: Rec (V0-V2), Int (V3-V5), Adv (V6+).
3:30pm: Prize Raffle
We will be doing our raffle for some amazing prizes! All Bloc Party participants will receive a complimentary raffle ticket just for competing, and all podium finishers will receive extra raffle tickets based on their final positions.
2 – 4pm: Member Hangout
We will have food and drink available for all members. There will also be a ping pong tournament and member vendors showing off what they do. This is an event you do NOT want to miss.
