ASCL CLOSURES
Gripstone will be hosting the American Scholastic Climbing League State Finals on Saturday, February 24th. As such, Gripstone will be closed to all business on this day, including our Members and all other Guests. Please plan adequately for this closure. If you are a competitor in the ASCL state finals, the last day to enter the facility will be on Sunday, February 11th, after this date competitors are not allowed into the facility. LEAP UP ON LEAP DAY
Do you have what it takes to be one of Gripstone’s Leap Up CHAMP? On Thursday, February 29th from 6 – 8 pm, Gripstone will host the 1st quadrennial Leap Up dyno competition. ANY CURRENT GRIPSTONE MEMBER IS WELCOME to participate in this FREE fun-filled night of jumps and laughs – and it ONLY happens every 4 years.
This low-key dyno competition will be split up into male and female categories with 10 individual dynos ranked in ascending difficulty (1 being the easiest, 10 being the hardest). Everyone competing will get two attempts to complete the dyno in order to move on to the next round. This single elimination format will result in there being 2 Leap Up Champs – one male, one female – each of whom will receive a FREE Gripstone one month membership and a SICK prize pack.
